Hey Guys!
I hope all is well back in Gurnee. I hear that the weather
has finally come around, or at least as much as it can during
spring in Chicago. I bet it’s a lot better than the weather
in Florida this past week. We have been on an eight game
road trip, three of those games have been rained out and
it has rained during every other game. Not exactly enjoyable
playing conditions. However, as you play more, you learn
that dealing with the elements is part of the game. Elements
such as weather, the crowd, or the umpire are all things
that you can't control and therefore can't afford to worry
about. Devoting mental energy to them will only cause you
to lose your focus and diminish your performance on the field.
So, stay focused on your game!
Well, the season is now 38 games in and we are moving right
along. it seems like just last week I was finishing up spring
training. As for you guys, I'm sure that your seasons are
well underway, to, or at least starting to take shape. I
hope everybody is playing hard and having fun. Best of luck
